OLEDs are essential for modern living as an environmentally-friendly light source.
Toyoda Gosei, under the guidance of Isamu Yamasaki and Hiroshi Amano, winners of the 2014 Nobel Prize in Physics, developed the first blue LEDs in the world.
As one of the pioneers in this field, we continue today to pursue new added value with UV LEDs and other semiconductors that contribute to safety and security.
e-Rubber
This is a next-generation rubber that functions with electricity and physical force. The basic structure consists of thin rubber membranes sandwiching 2 electrode sheets.
e-Rubber has so far been used in smart insoles, which can acquire foot pressure data for the soles of the feet, a heart surgery simulator and more. It is promising for use in a wide range of fields, including healthcare and sports.
